In the Scope of Services, the consultant outlined they will
recommend development options based upon input from "Stakeholder"
groups and input from a Resource Advisory Committee and a public
Community Workshop.
The 4 groups they called “stakeholders” were supposed to be representatives from:
Rural Land Owners
Business Interests
Social and Government Organizations
Environmentalists
The Consultant provided sample questions on what they might ask the
“stakeholder” groups. The Martin County Conservation Alliance (MCCA) believes that ALL
citizens of
Martin County are Stakeholders. Several members of the MCCA
were included in the stakeholder groups. We urge you to send us
input
regarding these four questions so that we can work on a consensus
message. Together our voice is stronger!
The Consultant has provided the county with the proposed sample
questions for the “stakeholders”:
1. What are your
issues and/or concerns about the future growth and development of
Martin County?
2. What are the key
questions or issues that you believe are facing Martin County in
general regarding the future of development within the County?
3. Do you have any
specific expectations about the results of this study effort, i.e., any
specific policy or policies that you think should/should not be
affected?
4. What do you like
best about Martin County today? What do you like least about
Martin County today?
Please send us your responses to the four questions. Use our 'Contact Us' form. |
